Our Website Is Under Construction!!

ugmma.com
In an effort to provide all the information our clients may want we are redesigning the website. A lot of the links don't have information available but we're working on it!

Please sign our guestbook or join our mailing list if you're interested in information related to our gym opening! We promise not to spam you or sale your information!

For those of you training with Rob in Afghanistan we'd like to be able to keep in touch with you as you progress through your Mixed Martial Arts Training- and welcome you to come check out the gym if you are ever in the Hampton Roads area (Chesapeake, Hampton,Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach), when you are safely back on USA soil! We'd be even happier if you'd leave a testimonial of the training you've been receiving while deployed.

Location, Location, Location!

Our future location has been weighing heavily on our mind. We know where/when/ and what we want- just getting all three of those issues to line up is posing some difficulties.  The good news is that there are plenty of properties in the Hampton Roads / Tidewater area and we are sure to find the right location for our Mixed Martial Arts Academy.
Our projected grand opening is March 2013- right after Rob gets back from Afghanistan. But, apparently we have been shopping for a location too early.
Everything else with the business end of it is going along smoothly. T-Shirts are getting ready to be printed and will be available on Amazon as soon as we get them!
We are so excited to see years of work finally coming together!

It's Not About The Style

Over my years of training to become a better martial artist I've come to understand a crucial concept. In all training-  punch is a punch, a kick is a kick, a choke is a choke, and a arm bar is an arm bar. My point is - it’s not about styles, as there are many in the martial arts. It’s about being proficient in the art in which you train. If you doubt what I believe to be true, I challenge you to practice your art 10,000 hours OSU!!!

"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”  Bruce Lee
